Castrol Engine Warranty Program

1. It does not cover vehicles modified for, or used in, competitive events.
2. It only covers factory-installed or OEM-specified engine parts.
3. A maximum of 2 claims permitted over the life of the vehicle, to a summed total not exceeding $5,000.
4. It does not cover claims that are the result of collision, negligent or intentional abuse, improper service or maintenance, defect in manufacture, improper installation of any part, coolant contamination, or the failure to keep the motor oil and engine coolant at the levels prescribed by the manufacturer. Wakefield Canada Inc. will not refuse payment for such claims that otherwise comply with the terms of this warranty, unless it demonstrates in good faith, that one or more of these causes resulted in the damage claimed.
5. It does not cover claims covered by the vehicle manufacturer’s warranty or any extended service contract. However, if you have otherwise complied with the terms of this warranty, Wakefield Canada Inc. will pay the deductible amount to be paid by you under any extended service contract purchased by you which covers such a claim.
6. This warranty is void if at the time you applied for this warranty your vehicle had in excess of 220,000 kilometres (km) and/or your vehicle was 9 years old or more (from the model year).
7. If the subject vehicle is transferred to a second owner or second lessee, this warranty is also transferable to the second owner/lessee as long as the subject vehicle has been driven 220,000km or less, and/or 8 years old or less (from the model year)
8. Engine warranty not applicable for use outside of Canada.

This is a limited warranty which has certain conditions and restrictions that may apply to you. Call 1-888-CASTROL or refer to your Warranty Certificate for further details (once approved). For vehicles that have between 120,000km and 220,000km at time of registration, the payment of claims under this warranty is limited to 50% of the repair cost to a maximum of $2,500. In no event shall the liability of Wakefield Canada Inc. exceed $5,000 or the fair market value of the covered vehicle.
